Christmas All Around!

It's less than a week till Christmas! I can't believe it! Everywhere you can see and hear Christmas in the air. I love watching Christmas movies, especially older ones. They just make me feel all warm and fuzzy!

I love baking all sorts of Christmas-y goodies. Making cookies, candy and fudge are just so much fun!

And I love remembering our Savior. The one who gave us life and so many blessings. I thank God for the gift of his son that brought us hope.

My Sweet Sister!

My sweet sister Jenna is home for Christmas! I am so pumped about spending lots of time with her. What a blessing it is to have her home!

So wonderful....

Oh, Matthew......

Matthew is such a ball of energy. Recently he has done some pretty silly things that have left us giggling...

Like sleeping in this tube....

Daddy: I think it's your turn to pray for dinner, Matthew.

Matthew: No, it's yours....I think if I pray I will throw up......

All of us: WHAT?

His prayers are usually really sweet.

Like this one....

Matthew: Dear God, thank you for this beautiful day. Please help my finger to get better. Thank you that my toe is better. Thank you for everybody. Please help Jenna to come home safely. Thank you for this food. In Jesus's name, Amen.

On Thursday he woke up and said....

Matthew: Mommy! It's time to open presents!

Mom: No it's not.

Matthew: Yes it is! It's Christmas!

I don't know where he got the idea that it was Christmas....

I don't know what we would do without this sweet little boy. :-)

Rolla Regional Robotics Blue Team.....

Whew! What a day that was! Our robotics competition was in Mountain Home, AR. We spent all day there performing our project, talking to judges, and running our robot program.

Us waiting....

Zeke and Joy at the game board. They did a great job programing and building the robot! At the competition, you have three tries on the board. The judges then took your highest score for ranking. There were some problems on the first two of our runs. Our scores were 65 and 79. I should mention that the scoring depends on the things that accomplish on the board. If you can bring the pizza back to base, you get 7 points and so on. Our Rolla red team's first score was 152. :-) Before the third round, Zeke and Joy had about an hour to work on the robot. We were hoping for the score of 130, to put us in third place. The Rolla green team was in second, and the red team was in first. We were also the last team to do our run. The robot only messed up one little bit and we were so glad! Hoping for third, we were absolutely surprised when we received the score of 140! Putting us in Second. :-)

For their project, the red team had chicken hats and the green team had cheese hats. We were asked "Where is your hat?". The red team ended up being the champions of the tournament. The green team received first place for Core Values. The blue team was a finalist in about three different things. And all of our teams qualified to go on to state! Way to go, everyone! :-D

To Harding.....

Last weekend when we to Arkansas for Robotics, we also went to Searcy on Friday to see Jenna! She was in a One Act called "Twice Upon A Time". She played the princess of the princess and the pea and did a wonderful job. :-) It was great to be able to see her before heading to Mountain Home.

The Christmas lights are absolutely beautiful at Harding!

Losing Pujols

It's so sad.....

I GET TO SEE MY SISTER IN 9 DAYS!! AHHH! :-D
"The Lord is my light and my salvation, whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold in my life, of whom shall I be afraid?" ~Psalm 27:1

I love this verse. It really has a lot of meaning for me. The Lord really is my stronghold right now. For the longest time I thought I ideas about what I should do with my life. Recently I believe God has been showing me that there is more out there that He wants me to be. I also have learned that God will show me what He wants, when the time is right. I also know that I need patience. :-) I will continue to pray that I am doing His will, and that I will have patience while I wait for Him to show me His way for me.
I have been so busy lately.....:-) I feel like I am running 100 miles per hour! I am thankful that "White Christmas" is over. Did I even post about "White Christmas"?? Maybe not...oh well. We went to our robotics competition last Saturday. I am really happy with how our team did. Did I talk about robotics? :-) I will try to talk about all the many things I haven't. But it will probably happen later. School is taking up so much of my time! I LOVE my history this year! I just finished will World War 2. I was (and still am) reading some very powerful yet disturbing books. At times I can't imagine why all of it happened. On a happy note, I am working at the Centre eight hours a week! I love helping in the homeschool P.E. class. I also keep score at volleyball games. I really enjoy getting to see volleyball games, but the fact that they go till 9:30 or 10 isn't the greatest. What else is going on in my life? I am still helping at Day School. This is about my 7th year. It is really a blessing in my life. I hope that this will bring you up to date on me. :-) I will try to blog more.....:-P

Oh, How I Love Webcams.....
