Seussical!

It's coming. In 10 days. Yippee!!

I haven't blogged in soo long. I really don't have anything to say about my ankle. It's doing okay and I hope to get rid of the crutches in 3 days! I am still in Seussical! But my role has been changed from a Bird Girl to a Who. I am really happy that I am still in it!! It opens in A week and a half! I am so excited about it! Continuing My Adventure...

I got my boot on!! Yay! The one bad thing is that I still can't put weight on my leg which means using crutches for another 3 weeks. I will be able to do Seussical without them!! I can put weight on my leg in 3 weeks, Seussical opens in 4! It's going to be cutting it pretty close!

The Adventure Continues With.....

Hopefully, CAST-ON DAY!!!! I really hope I will be able to get it put on today. I am already sick of using crutches.

The Adventure!

So, my ankle adventure continues!! I now have a lovely splint thanks to some of the Seussical cast members! They all wrote in what Jenna calls "Barney colors". I call them purple and teal. It makes me really happy to look at it and read all of the nice notes. I even have a picture of me on it! More updates to follow.
P.S. I didn't take pain meds before bed and I was okay!! Yeah!

The Adventure Continues!

I went to get my cast put on yesterday but there is still a lot of swelling in my ankle. I have another split put on. They took another x-ray which I was able to get and look at. It's a pretty intense break. I am going back in a week to hopefully get a cast or a walking cast/boot thing. The walking cast/boot thing would be great because you can walk without crutches!! I will have to have it on for 6-8 week though. The Adventure continues......

The Adventure Begins......

On Sunday I went ice skating with my youth group from church. Unfortunately, after about an hour I slipped and fell and I thought spraining my ankle. When we got back to church I was told by one of the ladies that is a nurse that I should have it x-rayed. So, yesterday since it was still swollen and it really hurt my mom and I went in and got it x-rayed. For the first time in my life I have broken a bone. I broke my fibula right at my ankle. I will be getting a cast put on Wednesday. The doctor said I should have 6 weeks for it to heal. My family keeps talking about how spoiled I will be at the end of it and I think I will just be really good at using crutches! I could use prayers as Seussical is very quickly approaching. I will try to keep everyone up to date on it.
